UnCaged:  The name suggests a state of being where the chains of imprisonment have been broken, and one is left poised to take relentless control of ones life - without any restrictions.  This in many ways perfectly describes UnCaged, the music, the band, and it's members desire to break away from convention, to defy categorization, and to discover ones own voice.

Formed in late 2003, Uncaged consists of former members of Sanity's Cage (a Melbourne based Heavy Metal band which established a considerable local following, and supported the likes of EDGUY, Dungeon, Mortification and Vanishing Point), and vocalist Scotti Savage - formerly of Molten Steel.  This meeting of minds produced immediate results, enabling personalities to meld together effortlessly and for music to be created almost at an instictive pace.  Indeed, it is this chemistry that is largely responsible for giving UnCaged its aggressive and unique edge.

Though rooted in Heavy Metal, UnCaged have grasped onto a sound that can only be described as it own: modern and aggressive, but also memorable and melodic.  Iron Indro Icon joined the band in October '04 , supplies a powerful yet intricate beat, complemented perfectly by the driving bass of Evil Rob Colangelo creates a tight and pulsating rhythm section which servers as the perfect foundation for guitarist Eddy Van Heathen's blistering axe work.  All share similar music perspectives and objectives, but different approaches: their attack combines as a blistering rock hard aural assault.

Enter Scotti Savage.  With a gravel laced voice that can be as soothing as the most seasoned crooner, or as vicious and intense as an industrial furnace.  Scotti stamps the music with his own seal of authenticity.  Commanding the attention of everyone and anyone in his vicinity, hearing Scotti and UnCaged is anything but a passive experience.  UnCaged are fuelled by the active participation of the audience, the more sweat, noise and action by the the audience, the more frenzied a beast UnCaged becomes -  the likes of which Metallica and Iron Maiden would be proud.

Uncaged is now firmly committed to gigging as actively as possible in order to showcase its particular hybrid of METAL in its preffered enviroment - LIVE.  A promo recording has been made, ensuring that UnCaged will soon be coming for YOU!!!
